Project Outline
The Indian High Speed Rail Project has agreed between the Governments to cooperate in developing Indian human resources for future operation and maintenance.
Specific tasks include JIC’s support for NHSRCL, the operating body, establishing a development plan for its staff and offering training, and developing regulations, standards and manuals for operation and maintenance (O&M) of the high speed rail systems in India. The training was provided to the executives of NHSRCL from 2017 to 2018 and the Key O&M Leaders from April to June 2022, including 13 trainees who will be managers in charge of high-speed rail operations. The training was given at Shinkansen facilities in Japan. The trainees have deepened their understanding of the Japanese Shinkansen technology through classroom lectures and on-the-job experience. We will continuously support the training of Indian managers in the future.
