Project Outline
Since 2016, JIC has been providing design and preparation of tender documents for the Indian High Speed Rail and tender support to NHSRCL. Along with the progress in the earthwork, we have formed a consortium with Nippon Koei and Oriental Consultants Global and successfully received a contract from NHSRCL in August 2022 for construction supervision services related to the tracks, rolling stock, rolling stock depots, maintenance vehicles, and operation training simulators. Based in Surat, Ahmedabad, and Delhi, we are now providing construction supervision services for the track in Gujarat, and the Sabarmati rolling stock depot, which are under construction, and manufacturing the driver training simulator. We check that the work of contractors under contract with NHSRCL is carried out according to the design and construction plan and manage process, quality, and safety while sharing information with NHSRCL through the Project Management Information System (PMIS). The construction supervision of these packages, referred to as the core systems of the Shinkansen, is a highly important task to realize the quality of the Japanese Shinkansen in India.
